Mozilla research: Browsing histories are unique enough to reliably identify users — ….and freshly in from the “just one more g*#$@mn f#*$ing thing to do” department… Mozilla conducted an experiment with 52,000 volunteer participants. The object was to see if only the domain names listed in your browsing history could accurately identify an individual. SPOILER ALERT: You bet your sweet ass it was enough information. With as few as 50 domains (in some cases) from your browsing history, they could reliably identify specific users. Looks like we need to add “clear browsing history” to our list of weekly chores…

Google Ads moves campaign goal metric — Google continues to push Optimization Scores, because well, it makes them more money. In an effort to do this, it has moved around where these optimization scores are showing and moved other critical goal sets. Luckily, for now, you can reset these column changes.
