On the one hand it’s simply rewarding users that spend a lot of their free time and energy updating a public ratings site. The only problem was that the links never came.” Even really good needs a kickstart to be successful. Even if you’re getting great social media results for your content it doesn’t mean you’re getting links and you’re likely missing out on opportunities.
