If you provide LGBT friendly lodging, this is a great directory to submit your business citation to. It takes a bit more work to fill out than Discover our Town because it asks for more required information such as price, descriptions, room views, pets, etc. The basic listing is free, but there are other options to upgrade your listing for an additional rate.

Given the name, this directory is perfect for bed and breakfasts. However, it also accepts campgrounds, inns, hotels, and other lodging facilities. What makes this travel directory more unique is that it heavily focuses on in-room and on-site amenities at your lodging facility such as pet-friendly rooms, Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, fitness centers, wedding facilities, etc. As you are submitting to this directory, it doesn’t require that you put in your website URL, so definitely make sure you include that along with other important information about your business.

Wikivoyage is a sister project of Wikipedia that focuses solely on travel. Lonely Planet acts more than just a directory. It is the largest travel guide book publisher in the world. Users on this site can find information on nearly everything travel related. All you have to do is go to the contact us page and go to the section on the right that says “Your Business”. Here you can suggest your business for a listing in Lonely Planet.

The Bed & Breakfast Directory
Hence the name, this directory also focuses mostly on bed and breakfasts, but it also is pretty lenient on accepting inns and boutique hotel accommodations. Basically, if your accommodation includes breakfast as part of the standard package it will be included on the site. If it doesn’t, your entry will be deleted. Submitting your citation to this website takes a little more work than others because it does require a short introductory text of up to 450 characters as well as a full-text description with a minimum of 1,500 characters. Other than that, everything else is straight forward. Make sure to include your website URL, as it is not one of the required details.
