A while back we were approached by the good folks at Liquid Web to talk about their services. As we have had a wonderful experience with their company and their 'heroic support', we jumped at the opportunity. In our roles as search marketers, hosting is often seen as an afterthought, but nothing could be further from the truth. Fast response times and reliability are critical in achieving rankings and having a successful web presence.
We have had the misfortune of working with sites that have substandard hosting and it is an uphill battle that you're better off not fighting. To share a story that's not in the video, I was having a conversation over lunch with another business owner who hosts with LW and we were both gushing about the service and response time when he told me a story that I still find funny:
"Sometimes when we have a technical issue we'll just call them first without even trying to fix it just to see if we can save some time. I mean, we're asking things that wouldn't even seem in the scope of normal support and those guys fix anything...and they fix it fast."
In a day and age when I find myself complaining about customer service more and more, it's nice to hear things like that and have the experience we've had. And now for the featured attraction:
